The crop protection company is strengthening its position in multiple markets.

Albaugh announced the global launch of its new brand identity.

“We are here to serve and strengthen the relationship with our customers, and to give them the support that they need to do more and do it better,” said Founder and Chairman Dennis Albaugh. "Where there is a combination of business opportunity, productivity and profitability, our customers will find us dedicated to the search for new efficiencies and smarter choices.

Group CEO Kurt Pedersen Kaalund added: “The new brand identity reflects Albaugh's focus to be the preferred alternative for our customers. We want to give them the power of choice and offer a better path to healthier, more profitable crops. We have a culture of continuous improvement, and we will continue to invest in expanding our industrial and commercial capabilities. We deliver quality products at competitive prices for our customers to reach higher levels of success.”

Founded by Dennis Albaugh in 1979, the company expanded into its own production now at a site in St. Joseph, Missouri. In 1997, the company acquired basic producer Atanor in Argentina.

Albaugh's expansion continued after the expiration of the patent on the herbicide glyphosate, with the acquisition of plants and establishment of businesses in Mexico, Brazil, Canada and Europe. Albaugh currently employs more than 1,500 people and is present from the Americas to Europe.

In its 42nd year in business, Albaugh closed the year 2021 by announcing to the markets its agreement to buy the agrochemical company Rotam, based in Hong Kong. This deal will result in the creation of a global company with sales over $2 billion, adding direct market presence in China, but also a geographic expansion into a number of new countries such as Chile, Peru, Colombia, Taiwan and India.

Albaugh's global brand was launched in 2016.

WorkWave’s Business Builder Visa credit card is its newest offering under WorkWave Financial Services, aimed to help small businesses build strong credit in their company’s name.

WorkWave, a provider of SaaS software solutions, has launched WorkWave Financial Services, a collection of financial offerings that will range from credit cards, to lending, to tailored insurance and more — all designed specifically to help WorkWave customers grow their business and maximize their money.

“WorkWave Financial Services allows us to use our position as an industry leader, combined with the significant investment we have made to build out our payments and financial capabilities, to give back to our customers in ways that no other technology partners are capable of,” said David F. Giannetto, CEO of WorkWave. “As their trusted partner, our customers look to us to support every area of their business with integrated solutions that work hand in hand to increase their efficiency, not just in service, but as they grow and utilize their money. Our financial services offerings will provide greater access to capital, more efficient rates for loans and credit, and favorable insurance programs that are critical to growing their business.”

The newest offering under WorkWave Financial Services is the Business Builder Visa credit card, specifically created to help small businesses build a strong credit rating in their company’s name. This is a major challenge for many small businesses, especially if the owner has no or a low credit rating. Unlike any other traditional credit card, the Business Builder Visa is backed by a portion of daily settlement sales, providing business owners more control over spending. Business Builder cardholders will benefit by avoiding excessive interest rates, late charges and personal financial exposure associated with high-fee credit cards and loans by leveraging the capital they are already creating through daily sales.

“Most card issuers are averse to underwriting risk for small businesses, but as their strategic partner, we believe in our customers’ success and it’s our responsibility to support them and help them grow,” Giannetto said. “The Business Builder Visa addresses a real, sustainable solution to support their need to lay a strong foundation from which these companies can scale, and build a company they are proud of for generations to come.”

The Business Builder Visa joins WorkWave’s integrated payment processing solution as part of this newly launched WorkWave Financial Services offering. It will soon include lending service, insurance and payroll.

WorkWave is one of the largest software companies underwriting risk on behalf of its customers, which has allowed it to rapidly grow its financial services offering and offer rates that are typically never offered to small businesses.

The New Jersey-based non-profit was founded in 2020 by Brian Schwartz.

Project EverGreen recently announced a partnership with I Want to Mow Your Lawn.

Like Project EverGreen’s GreenCare for Troops, which provides complimentary lawn care and basic landscape services to families of deployed military personnel, I Want to Mow Your Lawn provides complimentary lawn mowing services to senior citizens, military veterans, disabled and under-resourced individuals and families. The New Jersey-based non-profit was founded in 2020 by Brian Schwartz.

“Forming an alliance to help more military families, veterans and other deserving individuals made sense for many reasons,” said Cindy Code, executive director of Project EverGreen. “Our two organizations together can cast a wider net and help more families and individuals enjoy all the benefits healthy, accessible green spaces have to offer.”

Both non-profits serve a nationwide audience and collectively will strive to expand the bandwidth and awareness of both programs. Fluctuations in the availability and location of both volunteers and families create an ebb and flow that is dependent upon new volunteers joining these community service-based initiatives and deliver the gift of a well-maintained healthy yard and landscape to military families, veterans, and seniors.

These initiatives provide the platform for individuals and businesses with the skills and bandwidth needed to maintain healthy lawns, which in turn deliver peace of mind to families during stressful times such as deployments or rehabbing from a service-related injury. The alliance will work to raise the profile and availability of the programs to fill current gaps and the opportunity for new volunteers to give back to their communities.

“We’re honored to officially partner with Project EverGreen to create synergies between our two organizations. The partnership will multiply efforts to provide relief for families of active military and give back to those who have proudly served our country,” Schwartz said. “It’s our way to say thank you for the service and sacrifices families make to protect our freedoms. We never take that for granted.”
