CREWS tackled a vehicle fire at Taunton Land Rover near Toneway this morning (Friday, September 2).
The vehicle was completely destroyed in the fire which took place at around 4.41am.
Another vehicle was also damaged by heat, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service added.
A spokesperson said: “One fire engine from Taunton was sent to reports of a fire near Toneway, Taunton.
“On arrival, crews confirmed this to be a vehicle fire. A second fire engine was requested for water.
“Crews extinguished the fire using two breathing apparatus wearers, one hose reel jet, and compressed air foam. “The vehicle was 100 per cent damaged by fire. A second vehicle was also damaged by heat.”
The fire was believed to be deliberate, the fire service also said.
The County Gazette has approached Avon and Somerset Police for a comment.
