Rodents chewing on cable thought to have caused garden outbuilding fire in Vigo Village, Gravesend

A fire is believed to have started in a garden outbuilding after rodents chowed down on a power cable.

Two fire engines were sent to the blaze in Stonecroft in Vigo Village, Gravesend.

Firefighters used a hose reel jet to dampen the fire shortly before 5am.

The blaze was brought under control around an hour later.

It is thought to have been started accidentally after rodents chewed on an external power cable.

There were no reports of any injuries.
