Accidents: July 13: An accident was reported involving a gravel truck;

July 14: A semi truck tipped over on its side in the Park Rapids area, with no injuries.

Animal Related: July 11: A Todd Twp. caller reported being bitten by a dog; County 18 caller reported a calf outside the fence, on and off the road;

July 12: A Todd Twp. caller reported a large, aggressive bear refusing to leave her property;

July 13: A State Hwy. 34 caller in the Park Rapids area found a dog; A Todd Twp. caller wanted to speak with an officer about a couple stray dogs; A caller reported hitting a deer; Law enforcement responded to someone who had hit a deer but did not need medical aid;

July 14: A caller reported approximately eight cows out on the roadway; A 219th Ave. caller reported a pack of six dogs chased him and almost bit him; A caller reported she hit an owl and it was still alive, somewhat injured;

July 15: A calf was reported out of the pasture, in the ditch; A vehicle hit a turkey with no injuries reported;

July 16: A 255th Ave. caller reported a black and brown miniature horse had been missing overnight; A caller reported an injured deer in the ditch; A Lake Emma Twp. caller reported an eagle sitting on top of a doghouse, seemingly not afraid of people, and caller was concerned something may be wrong with it; A County 2 caller hit a deer, causing side airbags to deploy, but caller couldn’t see the deer; A County 9 caller reported a bull, a heifer and a calf walked through his yard, owner unknown.

Assaults/Harassment: July 13: A Nevis Twp. caller reported neighbors leaving their autistic, adult son home alone all the time, and said he screams and swears in the yard at all hours of the day and night;

July 14: A 275th Ave. caller said she was being harassed by her nephew; A Farden Twp. caller reported a violation of a domestic abuse no-contact order; An anonymous caller reported a friend’s husband was cheating and caller was concerned for her friend’s safety, citing possible verbal abuse;

July 15: A U.S. Hwy. 71 caller said her friend was being threatened by her husband; A 205th Ave. caller reported getting disturbing voicemails;

July 16: A passing motorist reported a vehicle parked on the side of the roadway with two occupants apparently having an argument; A domestic issue was reported on U.S. Hwy. 71 involving a hysterical female;

July 17: A County 110 caller reported a domestic assault, saying they heard a boom and their mom was now bleeding from the mouth, and that her boyfriend threw a bowl of food and left in a Ford with a fuel tank in the back; A State Hwy. 87 caller reported a domestic dispute based on a text from the female.

Burglaries/Theft: July 11: A panic alarm was activated on County 40;

July 13: A back entrance alarm was activated on County 18, with no keyholders available; A 130th St. caller reported a scam;

July 14: A 190th St. caller said his debit card was stolen on July 4; A contractor wanted to speak with an officer, saying an Akeley Twp. homeowner sold his material; A County 86 caller reported the theft of a boat; A front door alarm was activated in Lake Emma Twp., and proper ID was entered to cancel it;

July 15: A State Hwy. 34 caller reported two storage units were broken into overnight;

July 16: A Little Sand Lake caller reported a possible breaking and entering in progress, saying they heard banging and saw flashlights; A panic alarm was activated on 420th St.;

July 17: An Akeley caller reported a $65.11 fuel drive-off, heading west on State Hwy. 34; A State Hwy. 64 caller reported they sent compromising photos via Snapchat, and now the recipient was demanding $500 and threatening to disseminate the photos if not paid.

Fires: July 11: A shop building’s sprinkler flow fire alarm was activated in Laporte;

July 12: A County 13 caller reported smoke above a panel; A smoke above panel duress alarm was activated on County 13 and proper ID was entered to cancel it; An Akeley Twp. caller reported a leaning power pole on the side of the road, dropping a line that started a small fire; A White Oak Twp. caller reported a trailer on fire;

July 14: A caller reported an electrical box was smoking;

July 15: A fire alarm was activated at Compañeros restaurant in Dorset.

Medical: July 11: An ambulance was requested on U.S. Hwy. 2 for a male who fell out of the bathtub and was bleeding from his ear; An ambulance was requested on 200th St. for a male having difficulty breathing; An elderly male on 193rd Ave. activated his medical alarm, saying he fell and couldn’t get up;

July 12: An ambulance was requested on County 7 for an elderly female who was choking at Zorbaz; An ambulance was requested on County 97 for an 88-year-old male who had been unresponsive for the last few days; A lift assist was requested in Nevis Twp. for a male who fell and needed help getting up an outdoor ramp;

July 13: An ambulance was requested on County 32 for someone feeling unwell;

July 14: An ambulance was requested on 165th Ave. for a male who was feeling unwell and had previous heart and stroke issues;

July 15: An ambulance was requested on County 18 for a 35-year-old female with a bad headache, passing in and out of consciousness;

July 16: Becker County requested Hubbard First Response for a 78-year-old male who activated his medical alarm in Savannah Twp. when they could not make contact; A medical alarm was activated on State Hwy. 87 for a 70-year-old female who fell and couldn’t get up; An ambulance was requested in Akeley for a female having a panic attack;

July 17: An ambulance was requested in Lake George for a female possibly having a stroke; An ambulance was requested on County 38 for a caller who said his head felt strange and who felt like he was falling; An ambulance was requested in Steamboat River Twp. for a male who had been vomiting for several days; An ambulance was requested in Lake Emma Twp. for an 81-year-old female who fell and couldn’t get up; An ambulance was requested on 250th St. for a 73-year-old male who fell a couple hours earlier and was now unable to get out of a chair.

Miscellaneous: July 11: Law enforcement checked out a suspicious vehicle in Park Rapids; A Lake Emma Twp. caller reported a personal watercraft was missing; A caller reported people drinking and trespassing on other people’s properties at night, an issue that also occurred in previous years; A caller reported a sewage truck dumping sewage into the river; A Todd Twp. caller reported mailboxes were damaged as of July 8; A caller wanted to speak to a deputy about property retrieval on County 18;

July 12: A 230th St. caller wanted to speak with a deputy about money he owes to a female who refused to speak to caller or take the money owed her; Law enforcement did multiple resort checks; A 129th Ave. caller requested officer assistance, reporting their soon-to-be-ex-husband was taking a lot of property out of the house; A County 33 caller had questions for an officer about a purchase with a camper and a vehicle;

July 13: Law enforcement checked out a suspicious vehicle on State Hwy. 34 in the Nevis area; A 275th Ave. caller wanted to speak to a deputy, saying a neighbor put a note on his back door saying the sheriff’s office was at his home; Law enforcement responded to an ordinance violation involving a group of people at a beach;

July 14: A Lakeport Twp. caller reported his neighbor was making false accusations about caller barricading a driveway; Law enforcement checked out a suspicious male with a flashlight on U.S. Hwy. 71 near Bemidji; A caller requested officer assistance retrieving property from a 315th Ave. residence; County highway department personnel turned in a wallet they found; Hubbard Twp. caller was suspicious about a car parked in front of their driveway in the morning that left when approached; A caller had questions about an impounded vehicle in Park Rapids; A 275th Ave. caller complained about a vehicle parked at the end of their driveway overnight; A Helga Twp. caller reported juveniles climbing a cell phone tower near her residence;

July 15: An open-line 911 call came from 205th Ave., where upon callback the caller said it was a misdial; An Akeley caller was suspicious about a small car, possibly a Kia, parked in front of her residence with a female occupant who was crying; A caller had questions for an officer about property in a basement on 230th St.;

July 16: A State Hwy. 64 said their neighbor was bipolar and was going to accuse caller of things they hadn’t done; A caller reported finding a wallet on County 39; A wallet was found in Park Rapids with credit and debit cards and ID; An ambulance was requested on U.S. Hwy. 71 for a juvenile female having a seizure but breathing; An Akeley Twp. caller reported hearing gunshots; A County 33 caller reported big fireworks coming from a nearby address, described as an ongoing, weekly problem; A 200th St. caller complained about a huge party on Lake Belle Taine with vehicles and noise;

July 17: An open-line 911 call came from Mantrap Twp. with no concerning sounds in the background and no answer upon callback; A County 7 caller requested officer assistance with her defiant child; Law enforcement assisted with the demolition derby at the Hubbard County Fair; A Lake Emma Twp. caller complained about six or seven boats tied together, occupants drinking and being loud and disrespectful.

Traffic: July 11: A County 23 caller had questions for an officer about boat lighting requirements;

July 12: A motorist assist was requested for a flat tire; A caller wanted to talk to an officer about overweight trucks on township roads;

July 13: A Buick Century was reported swerving all over the road, crossing the centerline, changing speeds and passing in no-passing zones; A hose coil was reported in a lane of traffic; A County 45 caller complained about trucks passing with loud mufflers and jake braking;

July 14: A caller had questions about privately placed buoys on a lake; A fallen tree was reported obstructing County 1; A boat and water issue was reported; A Clover Twp. caller complained about a neighbor parking a semi truck on the side of the roadway; A boat and water stop was reported;

July 15: A Jeep was reported driving into the ditch and then back onto the roadway; A caller reported a forklift had been abandoned on the side of the road for several days; A caller complained about a truck pulling a trailer with a stump grinder; A car was reported swerving into the oncoming lane; A vehicle was reported traveling west in the eastbound lane;

July 16: A tarp was reported lying in the roadway, obstructing a lane of traffic; A County 18 caller had questions about side-by-sides operating on county and state highways; An officer provided a motorist assist; A State Hwy. 34 caller reported someone driving in the ditch off the trail, leaving marks in the grass; A caller reported a side-by-side tearing up grass; A caller reported fallen tree debris on the roadway; A U.S. Hwy. 71 caller north of Park Rapids reported an erratic driver pulling into the liquor store; A State Hwy. 87 caller reported a vehicle racing around a church parking lot;

July 17: A boat and water stop took place; An officer checked out a vehicle for motorist assist; Multiple boat and water violations were reported; A U.S. Hwy. 71 caller reported a truck pulling a boat, driving erratically; A 209th Ave. caller reported that a dirt bike and a four-wheeler ran caller and a friend off the trail while they were riding horses; A motorcycle was reported failing to stop.
